OUR MISSION
Because we understand that education maximizes human potential, empowers one to break the cycles of poverty, and bridges cultures by promoting peace and understanding through international exchange, we seek to reach out to lower income families throughout the world to facilitate selected students' goals of attaining a higher education.
The Ruble International Education Initiative, Inc. is a faith-based, 501(c)3 organization based in Rome, Georgia, USA.
"I believe education empowers, and I believe as christians we are called to care about marginalized people. Education ought to be a basic right that every child has. It empowers not ony the child, it empowers families and it empowers communities," says Cindy Ruble.
In the developing world, various obstacles arise, creating a gap that prevents eager and ambitious young people from having access to higher education.
From 2008 to 2013, we brought six students to the U.S. Two graduated from American colleges, and the other four attended a year of prep school before returning to their home country for university. Our current efforts seek to bridge the gap preventing young people from achieveing higher education by providing scholarships to attend college in their home country.
